From the East

Dear Brethren:

We are at the six month anniversary of my reign as Worshipful Master. Amazing how time flies. It's been awhile since we have seen many of you at Lodge. We have had some great programs and have some neat events coming up in the next six months. Please come back and join us!

This past month we had RW John Shroeder of Smith Research Lodge of the George Washington Memorial who spoke about the history of masons during the revolutionary period. This past May 20th we had Lt. Col. William G.L. Turner National First VP of the National Sojourners, Inc. speak about the building of the American Flag. It was a very emotional presentation of how the flag was conceived and actually built beginning with the original 13 Colonies and the addition of the stars as states ratified the US Constitution and we became the great country we are today.

The Edwin Albert Mroz DeMolay chapter at Kemper Macon Ware gave us the presentation of the Nine O'clock Interperlation. The boys did a nice job. They then stayed to see Lt. Col. Turner give his presentation. It was great fun!

Coming up in June we are having a family cook out at my home on the 27th of June at 5:00PM. All FAMILY MEMBERS ARE INVITED!

Also in June Reed Brown PM and Benjamin Franklin will join us at the two stated communications. That should be very enjoyable.

We are all working very hard to win The James Noah Hillman Memorial Award. That award requires a great many different goals that must be met from numerous presentations to Fraternal Visits to completion of various catechisms. It' not too late for you all to join us and find out how you can be a part of this great endeavor.

Please join us in June.

Fraternally yours,

James Franklin Norris
Worshipful Master
