TRESTLEBOARD
January-February, 2009

From the East

Dear Brethren:

I would like to begin with an apology for my lack of written communication for the first month of our new year. As some of you may or may not know, my wife Melissa and I were blessed with the birth of our first child Lillian Susanna Clair on December 10th, and our subsequent activities left the trestle board distant in my mind.

I’m very excited about the prospects that Cherrydale Lodge has for 2009. Your lodge has what may be the strongest core of elected and appointed officers in our district, and it is my primary goal this year to see that these officers are prepared for their future and current roles.

This year, I would like to stress as a goal for Cherrydale Lodge, maximum participation. There are a great many Masonic events occurring in and around the 54th Masonic District that can be of great advantage to our newest and eldest members. In my humble opinion our Lodge is in a position to lead our District in a great many Masonic endeavors. The most vital of these being our ritual, it is my hope that each and every one of you will find a specific piece of it, and commit yourself to the perfection of it.

In closing I wish to thank all of our members for their continued support of the Lodge and it’s Officers, and I hope to see all of our seats filled for the upcoming communications.

Fraternally yours,

John Patrick Clair
Worshipful Master
