From the East

Dear Brethren:

Summer is coming, and summer brings lots of vacations and activities. However, we must also bear in mind the great many Masonic activities of the summer.

The next few months are going to be very busy. We have the Hiram Wood Ritual School on Saturday, May 10th, where our district will be exemplifying the Mater Masons Degree. I encourage all of you to take advantage of this opportunity to see the perfection of our ritual.

Letters will be following this Trestle Board in reference to our Habitat for Humanity project that we hope to participate in June. Our lodge in particular and our district in general, would like the ability to become a full partner in a home. I have set a personal goal for our lodge to raise $5,000 for this worthy cause. Outwardly this number may appear stifling, but with as little as $25, from each of our members, this goal can be easily achieved.

The Grand Master’s one day conferral will be taking place in August, and the petitions for this need to be in soon. I highly recommend that all of our brethren make the most of this event.

A great many fellowship events will be taking place soon as well, our Fisher House BBQ was a tremendous success, and I sincerely appreciate the efforts of the brethren involved. If you have suggestions or desire to assist in these events please contact Tony Meyer for more information.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

John Patrick Clair
