Worshipful Rev. F. Reed Brown provided a fantastic talk for our annual St Johns Day Celebration. Brother Reed discussed the history of the Holy Saint Johns, their incorporation into Masonic ritual, and the Symbology of using the Holy Saint Johns. Worshipful Reed also received excellent questions from our brothers on the sidelines.

Blood is scarce and needed at our local hospitals. John Clair is setting up a lodge social fellowship event for this afternoon. Details will be published by email.

Each lodge has to pay the fee for a minimum of 8 attendees. The meeting following dinner is to plan and coordinate our district events. This al so provides opportunity to meet and socialize with our brothers from the other 54th District Lodges. I strongly encourage that Cherrydale members attend this quarterly event.

Sunday 30 July through Wednesday 2 August is the Annual Masonic Ritual School at Fork Union Virginia. This is an outstanding school to learn degree work, Fellowship with Brother Masons from all over the State. Fork Union during the academic year is a private military school for grammar school through high school. We have rooms at the school and the buffet style food served at Fork union is great! New Masons, Lodge Officers, and brothers who would like to learn parts for degree work will find this to be a great opportunity to get started. There is much fellowship at Fork Union. Our Secretary Worshipful John Frank has applications for this school.
