From the East

Dear Brethren:

February has again been a fruitful month for Cherrydale Lodge.  On Saturday, 11 February, we raised 3 new Master Masons.  The newly raised brothers are:

          Brother David Edward Dodds
          Brother Robert Walton Liles
          Brother Bryan Thomas Johnson

The dates for the 54th Masonic District Blood Drive have been changed by the American Red Cross.

The current Blood Drive schedule for the 54th Masonic District is as follows.  Note that Cherrydale Lodge has the canteen at Kemper Macon Ware Lodge on Saturday, 29 April, 8-12:30 AM

Saturday 29 April KMW Lodge; Canteen Cherrydale
Saturday 8 July ACLG Lodge; Canteen Columbia
Saturday 16 September Sharon Lodge; Canteen Sharon
Saturday 18 November KMW Lodge; Canteen KMW

Blood is desperately needed and all members and friends of members who are eligible to donate are strongly encouraged to participate.  Members and friends who are not eligible to donate blood are welcome to come to help the kitchen crew and meet your brethren from other Lodges.

We will be putting out a letter concerning the Northern Virginia Masonic Benefit fund. This is a special fund run by local Masons to assist families of brothers who have made their transition to the Celestial Lodge.

At our Stated Communication on 2 March, we will schedule either EA or FC degree.

Right Worshipful Albert Roy Conlon, District Deputy Grand Master For The 54th Masonic District, will make his Official Visit to Cherrydale Lodge.  Brethren, RW Al has always strongly supported Cherrydale Lodge as our lecturer for our EA Degrees.  I would appreciate it very much if we at Cherrydale Lodge showed our respect for RW Al with a large attendance for his Official Visit!!  There will be dinner at 6:30 PM.

Fraternally yours,

Richard Earle Robinson,
Worshipful Master
